Narcisa Darijevic Markovic
Movie and TV director and scriptwriter. Worked on children’s, scientific, educational, and music programs and as a member of the staff for the cultural division of the Radio Television of Serbia. She is a professor in the department of Film and Television Directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, where she teaches Documentary and Propaganda Film, as well as Sound Directing.
Trained as a classical musician she then turned into a teacher, specializing in stop-motion animation workshops in public schools. She now works part-time with children, part-time as a free-lance animator. She holds animation workshop and classes for teachers and students of the Padova University. She lives and works in Padova (Venice area, Italy). She is the artistic director of "Corti a Ponte", an International Short Film Festival with a special love for children. https://www.cortiaponte.it
Worked not only as a director of animated, feature, and documentary films, but also as a producer and screenwriter, engaged in education in the field of film. He has won awards at international festivals of animated, feature, and documentary films. He is currently working on the puppet series "Small, but clever" for the studio "Soyuzmultfilm", which will premier in 2021. Active participant and initiator in projects with environmental themes, in order to educate through art, create and raise awareness among young people. He is preparing the production of 10 new episodes of the educational series "Russian Literature" (Studio "Vremja kino"). This series is a combination of documentary and feature film. It was shown on the Serbian television "Haram". He holds lectures for teachers, students, and pupils of primary and secondary schools on the topic of animated films.
